At 08:30, our driver and guide will meet you up at your hotel. On the way to Ananuri, you will stop at Jvari Church, a true architectural masterpiece of the early Medieval Period built on the hilltop. You will enjoy the views of the confluence of Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Continue to Ananuri complex, a former residence of Argveti Dukes. Complex featuring churches and towers dating back to the 16-17th centuries is beautifully overlooking Jinvali reservoir. Drive further to see the conjunction of two small mountain rivers famous for keeping different colors even after they merge. You will visit Pasanauri village for lunch, where you will try khinkali (boiled stuffed dumplings), traditional Georgian food. After a short stop at Soviet time “People’s Friendship” mountain view point, at about 12:30 you will reach Gudauri, the mountain ski resort on southern slopes of the Caucasus Mountains at the height of 2000 m above sea level. Take a ride on the cable car; you will enjoy the views of the skiing slopes and snowy mountains. The place offers sleds rental and professional instructor services. Depart back to Tbilisi at 17:00.
